We are looking for Sales Manager to join one of the leading Payment Technology services company in the country.
The primary role of the Sales Manager is to oversee and monitor the key merchant accounts assigned to
him/her, cultivating existing relationships with the aim of securing revenue growth and bringing in new
Strategic accounts into the portfolio.
  • Secondary function is the supervision of one or more Sales Executives and/or Assistant Sales Managers handling separate geographic areas with their own allocation of small-to-medium sized Strategic accounts, as well as individual New Accounts pipeline.
  • The principal function is to increase the market share and profitability of his/her given portfolio as well as those in the assigned districts through relationship management and to maintain a healthy pipeline of target Strategic accounts.
  • Actively monitor the services and develop relationships with these merchants and maximize new business and cross sell opportunities and to deepen the merchant relationship with the company.
  • Manage merchant account profitability and revenue potential and adjust commercial agreements as necessary.
  • Identify cross-sell initiatives and maximize Global Payments’ product suite revenue potential.
  • Monitor and supervise assigned districts and assist Sales Executives in planning and strategizing to increase business from Strategic Accounts.
  • Develop relationships with partner banks and other third parties to maximize leads and revenue generation.
  • Monitor and supervise Sales Executives’ New Accounts Pipeline including efficiencies in the use of manpower resources in the proposal and sign up stages.
  • Monitor and supervise pricing and service proposals tailor-fitted to each potential New Account. Assist Sales Executives in meeting, presenting, and negotiating with potential New Accounts as necessary.
  • Monitor Sales and Revenue achievement of Sales Executives and communicate progress and performance to the rest of the team.
  • Monitor and supervise cross-outlet dependencies and ensure Sales Executives under his/her supervision provides the necessary support to accounts head quartered in other areas but doing business within his jurisdiction
  • Perform updates to Operations on potential resource allocations specifically on vendor and POS terminal availability.
  • Perform mentoring on company products and special procedures to the assigned Sales Executives from time to time
  • Monitor competitor activity within the assigned portfolio and identify threats and possible remedial actions to avert attrition
  • Maintain close personal contact and build rapport with management personnel of merchants that may potentially develop as key accounts through business growth and development of new income streams
  • Strategic visits to merchants that are potentially targeted by competitors
  • Monitor and if necessary, address merchant complaints and requirements whether on head office or outlet level
  • Maintain close relationships with other Farmer Managers to leverage their account relationships
  • Develop and execute an Account Development Plan to maximize sales and profitability of their given portfolio
  • Liaise merchant requirements through the SATs and ensure internal and external service providers comply with agreed SLA’s in order to deliver excellent customer service to the merchant base
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities related to this role, as assigned
  • Rationalize POS deployments on existing accounts and ensure maximum revenue returns on allocated resources.
  • College graduate. Business, Management or Marketing discipline will be an asset
  • At least three (3) years of experience in sales and customer service preferably in credit card related businesses
  • Good track record in leading a Sales team
  • Previous experience in Merchant Acquiring Relationship Management of any Top 100 Philippines corporations.
  • He/she should be willing and eager to work closely with the customers to identify and develop their payment processing capabilities, leading to early identification of opportunities for GP and better service for customers
  • He/she should have a proven record in customer facing service conditions and have dealt with demanding and difficult customers
  • The candidate should have an entrepreneurial character, be mature and independent, able to work well
  • with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organization, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with merchants
  • Very good English and Filipino communication skills
